As salaam alaykum everyone! I’ve got news for you: Vanier is coming to MIST for the first time this year, and we’re planning on having an amazing debut in’sha’Allah! I’m Hassam, and I’m pleased to be the ambassador of the MIST Vanier 2013 team. I’m honoured to be part of such a strong, talented, and dedicated team and I know that this year we’ll give MIST the best we have to offer. You’ll see us in pretty much all the different categories – Allah (SWT) has blessed this team with individuals with a wide variety of skills and talents. And we’re not discouraged by the fact that it’s going to be our first year – we’re coming with high goals in mind, and we’re coming ready to achieve them. We’ve heard lots of great things about MIST, and we can’t wait to experience it for ourselves! In’sha’Allah we will be successful at MIST this year and our school’s team in coming years will be coming back with more people and more talent (and maybe a longer blurb too!). Competitions we are planning on taking part in (in’sha’Allah): MIST Bowl, Short Film, Tafseer Test, Oratory, Math Olympics, 2D Art, Poetry (Literature), Photography, Prepared Essay, Debate, Qur’an Memorization, Programming (and possibly a few more).
