History 2008

MIST Toronto debuted in May 2008 and it took the Toronto community by storm! With over 80 competitors representing 12 high schools from across Hamilton and the Greater Toronto Area, the feedback was unanimous: “MIST IS AWESOME”.

The tournament took place on May 20^th and 21^st 2008 at University of Toronto – Mississauga campus. Students showcased their work with theme The Puzzle of Diversity: Piecing Together a Vibrant Community.

Erindale was the first school to win MIST Toronto with its 1^st place overall finish. ISNA finished 2^nd while Riverdale placed 3^rd.

Muneerah Chohan (Riverdale) won 1^st place overall individual, Salma Hindy (ISNA) took 2^nd while Sohaib Zuberi (Erindale) finished 3^rd.
